About Us

The Story Behind the Name

Fuzzarelly was our first and most beloved angora bunny; she had that orneriness that we humans take for intelligence and she was incredibly friendly and sweet! Fuzzarelly was a French Agouti which is an angora with the colors of a wild rabbit.

We keep about 30 angora bunnies in the barn loft, where they are safe from predators. All are named and all have different personalities. We clip their wool every three months, in the lap with tiny scissors, and in no way harm them. The larger bunnies will yield 8 or more ounces of wool four times a year, while the smaller ones may only give a mere three or four ounces at each clipping.

We dye and blend small batches of merino, angora, silk, and sometimes alpaca in the 40 colors of Jacquard acid dye. We also offer coordinated tussah silk which many hand spinners use for plying. In addition to spinning like a dream, Fuzzarelly Fibers are perfect for needle felting and can also be used in paper making.

We do not kill or harm bunnies in any way to get their wool!
